Frequently Asked Questions

If you have a question that is not answered here. Please feel free to call us at 716-795-3810.

Q. Are your Sheltie registered with AKC?
A. Yes, all of our dogs are registered with AKC. Your puppy can be registered in your name with AKC with Limited Registration, the non-breeding registration.

Q. I don’t want to show my dogs so why do I care if they are from show dog lines?
A. Becoming a Champion or Grand Champion is difficult. It means the dog has been looked at by many experts and deemed an excellent representative of the breed. This helps us breed the best to the best to provide families with wonderful representatives of the Shetland Sheepdog breed. We breed to the AKC Standard for our breed.

Q. Must I get my puppy spayed/neutered?
A. Yes, for the health and safety of your pet they must be spayed or neutered. Our contract spells this out.

Q. What colors do you have?
A. Depending on which dogs are bred together we can have sable, (light and dark), tri, bi-black, blue merle, bi-blue merle, and sable merle puppies.

Q. Where are the puppies raised?
A. Puppies are born here in our home and spend their time with us right in the middle of everything. This produces puppies that are comfortable with family life and ready to join a new family.

Q. How old are the puppies when they come to our homes?
A. Puppies are 9 weeks old when they leave us and join their new families.

Q Do you have a health warranty?
A. Our dogs come with a written two year warranty against fatal genetic defects and a 72 hour guarantee that the puppy comes to you healthy. AKC provides a month of health insurance free when you register your puppy.

Q. How long have you been breeding Shelties?
A. We purchased our first Sheltie in 2006 and have been in love with them ever since.
